Remote mixing, Dolby Atmos and Music production

from Curtis Schwartz Studio

Stereo mixing, Dolby Atmos mixing and musical production input for artists, producers and labels worldwide.

Curtis Schwartz Studio works with artists and producers across the UK and internationally, providing stereo mixing, Dolby Atmos mixing and production input from West Sussex, England.

Projects can be sent from anywhere in the world as multitrack sessions, stems or rough mixes, then developed collaboratively through file exchange, notes and review calls.

Established in 1984, the studio works with artists, producers and labels who value a musical approach, careful listening and clear communication throughout the process.

Some projects begin with mixing, while others also benefit from production input, arrangement feedback or sonic refinement before final delivery.

Where appropriate, the studio can also record MIDI piano performances on the Steinway Model D Spirio, captured through the studio microphones and analogue signal chain as a real acoustic recording.

Stereo Mixing

Send your Pro Tools session or exported stems for remote stereo mixing, with revisions and feedback handled collaboratively.

Dolby Atmos

Send multitrack sessions or stems for immersive Dolby Atmos mixing and mastering, with clarity, depth and translation in mind.

Mastering

Stereo or Atmos masters prepared for release, with tonal balance, loudness control and translation in mind.

Steinway D Recording

Where piano is needed, MIDI performances can be captured on the studio’s Steinway Model D Spirio as a real acoustic recording.

Rates vary by project. Many begin with a rough-mix review and a short conversation.

What to send

A Pro Tools session, stems, rough mix or even a MIDI file is enough to begin.
If you're unsure what format is best, simply send what you have and Curtis can advise.

Artists regularly send:

• works-in-progress for production feedback

• stems for stereo or Atmos mixing

• MIDI piano parts for recording on the Steinway D Spirio

How Remote Mixing Works

  1. Send your session or stems
Upload your Pro Tools session or stems using Dropbox or WeTransfer.

  2. Initial listening and discussion
Curtis listens through the material and discusses direction, references and goals with you.

  3. Mixing and revisions
Your mix is developed in the Curtis Schwartz Studio control room with revisions included.

  4. Final delivery
Final mixes are delivered in all required formats for streaming platforms or release.

Every project begins with a simple conversation about the music.

To start a conversation, email Curtis with a rough mix and a short description of your project.

What artists say:

“Curtis Schwartz Studio is an idyllic environment in which to record music. Set in glorious gardens just outside Ardingly, the studio and the property itself have been continuously renovated and upgraded over more years than I care to mention.

At the centre of the enterprise is Curtis, whose enthusiasm, stamina and superlative skill will outstrip your own.

I can recommend Curtis Schwartz Studio without reservation.”
