This playlist is a personal selection of compositions by Curtis Schwartz, chosen to give a clear sense of his writing range, musical feel and catalogue.
His catalogue includes more than twenty albums for KPM/EMI Production Music, ranging from melodic instrumental writing to rock, lifestyle, sport and broadcast music. Life & Leisure reached No. 1 in the U.S. production music charts, and Fit To Win was co-written with Keith Mansfield. His work became widely used internationally, and at one point he was KPM’s highest-earning writer in a single quarter.
Since the late 1990s, Curtis has also been part of the team behind the ITN National and Regional News theme music, heard daily across the UK. His own compositions, including “Classic Energy,” have featured widely across ITN programming.
Curtis began in London’s rock scene, writing, recording and performing alongside players including Neil Murray of Whitesnake and Phil Collen of Def Leppard. That early grounding in bands, arrangement and performance still informs his work as a composer, producer and arranger.
