Curtis built his early career in London’s music scene, writing and performing alongside musicians from bands such as Whitesnake and Def Leppard.

Across his work for KPM / EMI Production Music and Scoring House / West One Music, Curtis has written more than twenty albums, with compositions used widely across television, film, news and sport.

His catalogue includes albums such as Life & Leisure, which reached No. 1 in the U.S. production music charts, and Fit To Win, co-written with Keith Mansfield, one of the most influential figures in production music. At one point, Curtis also became KPM’s highest-earning writer in a single quarter.

Since the late ’90s, Curtis has been part of the team behind the ITN National and Regional News theme music, heard daily across the UK. His own compositions, including “Classic Energy,” have also featured widely across ITN programming.

Whether writing for screen, records or instrumental projects, Curtis’s work is still driven by melody, feel and a love of strong musical ideas.
