This page looks back at the recording of Big Visit, created here at Curtis Schwartz Studio with Emma Rawicz and Gwilym Simcock.
It was a pleasure to welcome Emma and Gwilym to the studio for sessions that were focused, deeply musical and full of character. Working with two such instinctive and expressive musicians made the whole project a joy from start to finish, and I was delighted to record, mix and master the album here.
Big Visit came together beautifully in an intimate studio setting, with space for detail, interaction and atmosphere. These were inspiring sessions throughout, and it was a privilege to help bring the album to life.

There was a wonderful ease and focus to the music-making from the outset. The performances had depth, spontaneity and clarity, and the album captured that spirit naturally.
It is always rewarding to work with artists of this calibre, and Big Visit is a lovely reflection of Emma and Gwilym’s musical connection.
