Behind the Scenes: Recording Big Visit with Emma Rawicz & Gwilym Simcock
It was a pleasure to welcome saxophonist Emma Rawicz and pianist Gwilym Simcock to Curtis Schwartz Studio for sessions for Emma’s album Big Visit.
These were deeply musical, focused and inspiring sessions — two exceptional artists, beautifully recorded in an intimate studio setting. It was a privilege to record, mix and master the album here.

The sessions were a real joy from start to finish — stunning music, world-class playing, and two of the most enjoyable people to work with. The whole project came together so naturally, and I’m very proud to have recorded, mixed, and mastered the album here in the studio.
It’s always inspiring to work with musicians of such creativity and energy, and Big Visit captures that perfectly. Huge congratulations to Emma on her exciting career — this is only the beginning!
